Manca Volleyball Tournament - A Big Thank You!
Our community is glad to have annual tournaments in Bay Area for the two favorite sports of Malayalees, Soccer & Volleyball! 6 Years back, our community started a soccer tournament for Keralites under the leadership of Bay Malayali Club and now Volleyball under the leadership of MANCA!!
Our first Volleyball tournament was a great success!! 16 teams from parts of Northern California participated in the first ever volleyball tournament. San Leandro Volleyball Club won the first place and Bay Malyali Club-Kerala sixers won the 2nd place. Knanaya Jumpers secured 3rd and the Ladies Team (Touch-3 Mallus) got the 4th place. On behalf of the community, I congratulate all the winners and above all, the participants from all 16 teams. Your dedication and eagerness to play made this event a great success!!
Without sponsors and their support, we could not have made this event possible. Our sincere thanks to Thekkek family, Attorney Charles Nellari and TekVista Inc. Our volunteers lead by Sunil Varghese & Beena Nair choreographed this event without any ado and executed it smoothly on time, on budget! Special thanks to George Mathew Moozhiyil who helped us with all the logistics and Raju Varghese, who shared his experience in organizing Volleyball tournaments in the Bay Area.
Thank you dear Bay Area, thank you for giving us such a great success!! The great proof of this success is, sponsors are already lined up for next year!
